New Day Resolution
So, what’s your new year resolution? A bunch of changes or a continuity of what’s happening? Whatever it is, this day(end of year) is considered to be the day to evaluate the passing year and plan the coming one. But don’t you think its bit too late? 365 days is a long duration, pretty long! And year is not something natural either, its human-defined. If we can take some time out, while seeing the setting sun as the last one for the year, and think of the good and bad we did last year then why can’t we do this each evening? Why don’t we treat each setting sun the same way? Sun sets each evening, but we don’t bother. God gives us a chance [and a hint too] to evaluate each day a time but we don’t avail it.
There’s nothing like an unimportant day, they say. True? But then is there something important? Each day is a new day, neither important nor unimportant but just “new”. And being new is enough to make it unique and important. Shouldn’t there be a new resolution for each new day then? A year changes our lives and each day contributes to it. When you stand at verge of ending year and evaluate your accounts, you don’t remember the little mistakes you made each day. When each day makes a difference then why don’t we evaluate each day? So I decided to have a new day resolution each day, at least of the coming year and that is my new year resolution.

Making Everyday Resolution is not that much easy if not impossible, especially without doing self-assessment and for this; we’ll have to discover ourselves first. Even after doing all this, I don’t think, every one of us does possess sufficient “moral fiber” to evaluate himself. Inner wakefulness, fortitude and of course self-confidence are prerequisites for effective results. This process, sometimes, takes only a moment and sometimes, it takes one’s whole life; also probability of success is beyond measures.
However, I do agree with you and I think that daily assessment can help any person’s in reducing his obligations and everyday resolutions can assist him in raising his morale gauge.
Have a blessed year ahead!
